Novatech: From complexity to simplicity
Novatech International is a Belgian family company that researches, innovates and creates solutions to make it easier and better to build, maintain, protect and repair. Novatech targets both professionals and -do-it-yourselfers worldwide. Its best-known product, Tec7 rings a bell with many people.
At Novatech, everything revolves around three pillars: quality, innovation and simplicity. With these pillars, Novatech wants to make every craftsman's job more professional and easier. Its mission: to make complexity simple.
This mission does not only apply to its customers. Novatech also wants its internal management and processes to be as simple and qualitative as possible. This ambition translated two years ago into the decision to better digitize business processes again. The outdated ERP application was replaced by Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Microsoft Dynamics NAV had to make processes in finance, order-to-cash and logistics run even more smoothly and simply. In addition, Novatech also wanted to make itself digitally ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

After go-live, however, not all processes were aligned with the new ERP platform, which regularly caused some frustration among employees and customers. Orders and shipments turned out not to be 100% streamlined in the application, invoicing did not run smoothly. Novatech needed expertise in both Microsoft Dynamics NAV and in helping employees hands-on in using the new application. Novatech was also looking for expertise in collaborating and challenging the implementation partner.
Mentor and Men stepped on board and managed to gain the trust of the teams in operations, customer care, finance and sales thanks to its knowledge and hands-on approach. Through coaching and training by the consultants, the teams were able to turn their initial doubts about Microsoft Dynamics NAV into adoption. In co-creation, issues were thoroughly analyzed and solutions worked out.

Once processes were running smoothly, Mentor and Men also helped with master data management and the creation of numerous reports: business information based on correct data that helps management on the spot to make the right decisions quickly.
In parallel, Mentor and Men conducted a needs analysis for a CRM application at the request of Novatech, with the aim of further strengthening client engagement. We mapped out customer journeys and processes for dealing with customer complaints. The analysis led to a solid CRM vendor selection.
Today, the expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and process optimization scores highly among the Novatech teams. Meanwhile, the company is planning the next step in internal process innovation and wants to integrate more foreign subsidiaries into Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
This story of collaboration with Novatech International around post-go-live support and adoption of new ways of working is close to Mentor and Men's heart. Persistence, trust and expertise have led to turning complexity into simplicity. Things have come full circle nicely.
