This important change was going to impact all angles of the company. They had a big challenge ahead and called on the expertise of Mentor and Men to guide them for a successful transition.
In co-creation with senior management, Mentor and Men started by defining the business drivers and the target application architecture.
We guided our client in selecting proper solutions and making right partner choices.
Our team of consultants supported the client with expertise in ERP and APS solutions, in project and change management, redesigning business processes in production, supply chain, inventory and finance management. We integrated APS with the backbone ERP. The team invested intensively in improving master data, efforts that paid of very well. A very rich database is now available for product build data, including BOMs, routes, intermediate product operations and resources that provide the baseline to elaborate on product costing.
This transformation program touched the very heart of the business, and brought a lot of change.
Mentor and Men helped creating a new organisation design, with centralisation of all planning functions ensuring a cockpit view on the entire supply chain. New roles were defined, such as demand and production planning, scheduling, and master data administration. An S&OP governance is installed to balance demand and supply choices.
With change management throughout the program Mentor and Men aimed to translate business objectives to “what is in it for me” for every person in the organisation, to get the organisation going for the new way of working, with resilient, change-minded employees. Because transition ain’t over yet.
