Engicon nv (Geldof) with HQ in Harelbeke, Belgium is a leading European supplier of 'integrated steel solutions' for storage, transshipment and processing of liquids, bulk and gases.
Over 200 highly experienced people work daily on design, production and installation of complex custom projects.
Quality and perfection are not empty words at Engicon NV. Every project is specific and even in many cases unique and that requires adapted raw materials, parts, processes and a project approach.
This is where the challenge lies: Production has to be planned across multiple projects. The planning must be able to respond to last minute changes of designs at the request of the customer. Delivering unique projects means that risk and cost management are important for every project.
Engicon wanted more standardization, more standard processes in purchasing, design, production, logistics and installation. But also a standard cost structure. And still while preserving the unique character of each project.
To realize this, Engicon decided to select a new business application, which integrated sales, design, purchase, project management, production and quality. To this end, the business processes had to be redesigned, with the aim that employees can work as uniformly as possible on each unique project, from design to aftercare.
A new way of working would bring about important changes for employees and the organization. Management realized this all too well.
To steer the changes in the right direction, Engicon partnered with Mentor and Men. The core processes have been elaborated together with Engicon.

New business applications in Enterprise Resource Planning, integration with Product Lifecycle Management and visual planning better connects people, data, processes and customers.
Based on detailed business requirements, the consultants of Mentor and Men guided the vendor selection and supported Engicon in contract negotiations with the chosen implementation partner.
Engicon is on the eve of even more business efficiency and carrying its clients even closer to the heart.
