Belgian hospital back on the AX rails

Challenge 

During the first contacts between the hospital and Mentor and Men, the hospital had just completed an implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. A two-year process. 

However, after a difficult implementation period, users had little confidence in the solution implementation, and the upcoming year-end loomed as an insurmountable hurdle. People felt that they no longer had control over their own familiar tasks and responsibilities. 

The hospital staff had to quickly regain their confidence in the new tool and hired Mentor and Men for this. 

Added value Mentor and Men 

The hospital management was convinced that Mentor and Men 's expertise in optimizing business processes and translating them into Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 could quickly restore confidence. Mentor and Men's insight into the approach and organization of the involved implementation partners was also an important added value to make users enthusiastic about the ERP tool and to make the investment pay off. 

Approach Mentor and Men 

Based on a structured assessment, Mentor and Men made clear in the short term where exactly the problems were located. There was a deep human level (Were key people sufficiently involved in the implementation? What about change management?), On an organizational level (Did the old organizational structure work well in combination with the new ERP?) And on a process level (Were existing hospital processes optimized enough before 'translating' them into the new ERP?). 

Mentor and Men defined the issues, set priorities and created ownership of those responsible for the hospital and / or the Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation partners for a plan of approach and solutions. 

Results 

In co-creation, Mentor and Men brought the hospital back to the wheel of this profound change. The structure of structured consultation initiated communication between the hospital and the Microsoft Dynamics AX implementation partner. Mentor and Men stimulated the partner in the necessary support for end users. 

Mentor and Men also advised the hospital to structurally work on continuous process optimization and process stability, and elaborated the structure for this.

The hospital completed the year with a successful first year close and audit. The relationship between the hospital and the Microsoft Dynamics AX Implementation Partner was good. End-users' confidence in Microsoft Dynamics AX grew and structures for process stability and optimization were in the starting blocks.
